Love Delivered For Mother's Day

This Mother’s Day we have partnered with the fabulous Lincolnshire based family-owned florists Love Delivered. They grow and deliver the most gorgeous florals. We caught up Annabel, co-owner of  Love Delivered, to find out more about this wonderful brand.

Tell us about Love Delivered?
We are a family run business (mother-in-law and daughter-in-law) and we saw a niche to deliver fresh seasonal flowers direct from the grower.

Every aspect of your business is environmentally friendly: from sourcing the flowers to wrapping them. Why did you choose that path?
The environment plays such an important role in the way we grow our flowers. We harvest our rainwater, use solar panels to aid our electricity usage and also use bio-mass to heat all of the glasshouses. We want to ensure that our packaging is fully recyclable and our flower food wrapper and sticker are biodegradable. It is essential we look after the future.

Are there any flowers you are particularly drawn to or those you avoid?
We are British flower growers and are so lucky to grow lots of different flowers throughout the season’s. I think my personal favourites are our double tulips as they are just so different and unusual and also Peonies for late Spring in the softest colours, Gladioli and sunflowers in late summer.

What is your favourite thing about working with flowers?
I love flowers, mainly because they make you happy, they instantly lift you and the colour combinations are endless, I love making big displays. We are looking for new varieties to grow and introduce different seasonal flowers.

How has the past year changed your business?
Although we have been growing flowers for the last forty years, we only actually launched the online side of our business last November. We have found during these lockdown people are sending flowers to cheer people up, it is the alternative to the hug.

How do you find your daily balance?
At the end of a long day, a lovely relaxing bath, scented candles and music, dreaming of summer evenings……
